COVID-19 Information for Visitors
As organisers of the Master Investor Show, the safety of our visitors, exhibitors speakers and staff is our priority.
The Event will operate in accordance with the latest UK Government and Public Health England guidelines regarding Covid-19 (further details are available here and will operate under the Event Industry’s All Secure Standard (a comprehensive set of guidelines to keep you safe at Events).
These practical steps allow events and events venues to operate safely and to provide reassurance and confidence to attendees that they are participating in an environment that is effectively controlled, safe and run according to official government and local authority guidance.

Attending the show
Proof of COVID-19 status
We will continue to follow latest UK Government and Public Health England guidelines regarding Covid-19.
As such, at the current time proof of COVID-19 status will not be required, though we ask attendees to follow the below guidance.
(We reserve the right to alter this guidance if subsequently requirements change.)
Proof of a negative lateral flow test result taken within 48hrs of arrival*
Proof of natural immunity as shown by a positive PCR test result for COVID-19*, lasting for 180 days from the date of the positive test and following completion of the self-isolation period.
*These elements can be demonstrated via your NHS COVID Pass on the NHS App or equivalent.
We encourage all attendees to perform a Lateral Flow Test before arriving at the venue.
Exemptions
- In accordance, with NHS and Government guidelines, there will be a small number of exemptions for individuals who have a medical reason which means they cannot vaccinate or test.
- Individuals under 18 will not be required to demonstrate their COVID-19 status. However, we recommend that these participants still take a lateral flow test within 48hrs of arrival.
Do not attend if
As with any other event in the UK please be respectful of other people and do not attend if:
- You feel unwell, including a high temperature, new continuous cough and a loss of, or change to, your sense of smell or taste
- You are isolating or have been asked to by a government test and trace service
- You have been in close contact with anyone who has COVID-19 or anyone who has been showing symptoms

Before You Arrive
- It is important all attendees print their badge at home and bring it with them to the event to avoid crowds forming in the registration area. Badges will be emailed to all attendees in the month leading up to the show.
- Download the Master Investor Show App ahead of the show. To minimise touch points the Show Guide will be available only via the app (download details will be emailed to all ticket holders ahead of the event).
- Check the website for all the latest information.
- Check your government advice for guidance on travelling overseas before entering the country.
Onsite COVID-19 Protocols
Face Coverings
- It is no longer mandatory to wear face coverings in the UK.
- Face coverings are optional for attendees, although we encourage their use whilst in crowded areas or while in close proximity to other people.
(*We reserve the right to enforce mask wearing in certain areas of the show if subsequently requirements alter)
Social and Physical Distancing
- Visitor flow has be enhanced to ensure the maximum interaction in the safest environment.
- Wider aisles have been incorporated where-ever possible to help encourage social distancing.
- We have worked to avoid crowded areas and queue points where-ever possible and have encouraged all attendees to pre-print their badge to avoid being in the registration area longer than is necessary.
- We encourage the exchange of marketing or business data to be carried out electronically where possible.
Cleaning and Hygiene
- Dedicated hand sanitising stations will be available throughout the exhibition and venue.
- We welcome attendees to also carry their own hand sanitiser for use throughout their time at the event.
Enhanced Cleaning
- The venue (BDC) will undertake a deep clean prior to commencing build-up and opening of the show.
- The venue will continue to exercise their enhanced cleaning regime of all public areas throughout the show.
- Additionally we will be conducting a thorough, enhanced cleaning regime of key public areas prior to show opening and during the show.
- Exhibitors will be encouraged to undertake sanitisation of their stands and exhibits before, and throughout the show.
Enhanced Venue Safety and Cleaning Measures (The Business Design Centre)
- The BDC is currently operating in line with Government advice.
- Enhanced cleaning regime in place thought the venue, with a focus on ‘touch point’ cleaning.
- Thermal imaging cameras have been installed in the reception area and loading bay to detect body temperatures of those arriving into the building.
- Additional spot checks are currently being deployed using handheld temperature scanners.
- Improved ‘fresh air’ ventilation systems in place across the venues and conference rooms.
- Enhanced sanitisation equipment to increase the level of cleaning possible.
