David Stevenson
Host speaker
David Stevenson is a financial journalist and commentator for a number of leading publications including The Financial Times (the Adventurous Investor for the last decade), Citywire, and Money Week. He is also the founder and director of both www.altfi.com, a leading fintech website, and www.etfstream.com focused on the exchange traded funds space as well as global asset allocation. He’s also more recently launched www.futurefoodfinance.com which is focused on the foodtech impact investment scene.
David is the author of a number of books on investment including the bestselling book on ETFs for the FT. David was also a director at the successful corporate communications business The Rocket Science Group and before that a senior producer in business and science in BBC TV. David is also an experienced non-executive director on a number of London listed investment trusts including the Aurora Trust, the Gresham House Energy Storage fund, Castelnau and chair at the Secured Income Fund.
Anthony Chow, CFA
Co-Founder of Agronomics Limited
Anthony commenced his career at ANZ Banking Group in Sydney, Australia where he worked in the banking, leveraged finance and private equity teams. In 2007, he moved to London to work for Burnbrae Group, where he was part of the direct investments team investing in life sciences, ageing research and more recently the nascent field of cellular agriculture. He is the co-founder of Agronomics and sits on the board of a number of portfolio companies including Onego, Formo, All G Foods and SuperMeat. Anthony holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Sydney, and was awarded the CFA designation in 2010.
Jan Pacas
CEO & Founder of All G Foods
Australian based company All G Foods was incepted in 2020 by CEO and serial entrepreneur Jan Pacas. Aside from leading a global $1Bn USD multinational business, Jan has a proven track record as an accomplished founder – successfully scaling two consumer technology businesses from idea to IPO and private equity exit respectively. Jan strongly believes that focusing simultaneously on social, economic, and environmental performance is both good for society and for business, leading him to his newest venture – All G Foods – an alternative protein company which aims to be the first company in Asia-Pacific to commercialise next generation, animal-free dairy products and proteins.
Maija Itkonen
CEO & Co-Founder of Onego Bio Ltd
Maija Itkonen is a designer, innovator, serial entrepreneur and one of the movers and shakers in the alternative protein field. Currently she’s acting as CEO and Co-founder of Onego Bio, a company producing animal-free egg white with cellular agriculture means. The cutting-edge team has developed a safe, sustainable and cost-effective precision fermentation method for producing ovalbumin, the most abundant egg white protein. Maija’s previous company Gold&Green was focused on plant proteins, specifically oat-based meat alternatives. Maija is a musician as her second profession, and if not found at the innovation lab or by the saxophone, she’s probably taking care of cucumbers with her kids.

Hans Huistra
Chief Operating Officer at Meatable
As Chief Operating Officer, Hans (1968) is responsible for turning Meatable from an R&D-focused organization into a fully-fledged, internationally operating food company. Hans joined Meatable in early 2022, after having been president of global dairy nutrition company Fonterra for the last seven years, looking after the B2B and B2C businesses in Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Russia.During the first part of his career, he built and ran factories in Europe, Vietnam, the US and the Middle East, for both Unilever in the meat business and FrieslandCampina in the dairy business. After a stint as global director for manufacturing and procurement for FrieslandCampina on the operations side, he moved over to general management and ran the company’s very successful business in Thailand and surrounding countries. Subsequently, he was an executive board member of the Hero group in Switzerland, and COO for the Muller group in Luxemburg, prior to taking on the president role at Fonterra. Hans is a passionate believer that Meatable has both the team and the technology to make cultivated meat a reality, making a real impact on the planet.

Lou Cooperhouse is a globally recognized authority in food business innovation and technology commercialization, with extensive leadership experiences throughout his 35+ year career in the food industry. Lou is President & CEO of BlueNalu, with a mission to become the global leader in providing great tasting, cell-cultured seafood products that are healthy for people, humane for sea life, and sustainable for our planet. With his deep and diverse understanding of the food industry, Lou has spoken at hundreds of conferences throughout his career, specializing in food trends, disruptive technologies, and global best practices in business innovation and incubation. Lou received his MS in Food Science and BS in Microbiology, both from Rutgers University, and has served as an Adjunct Professor at the Rutgers Business School.
